Newton Healthcare specialise in the supply of temporary and permanent Healthcare Assistants, Nurses and Support Workers into the elderly care, mental health and learning disability, children services and supported living sectors. Headed up by Derek & Emma Plunkett, who each have 25 years of recruitment experience. Newton Healthcare provide experienced, compliant and fully trained Workers to a variety of settings. Like Derek, Emma has an established background of developing recruitment businesses herself, and has some notable successes behind her name already, but with Newton Healthcare Emma is more confident than ever.  “We know Clients are under pressure, and need a first class service from a recruitment business with extensive local knowledge of the candidate market, Newton Healthcare will deliver that, and we are really excited about the times ahead.”  When away from the business, Emma loves spending time with children, cooking and keeping fit.

Lisa has also been working in recruitment for over 20 years, the last seven in healthcare recruitment in Norwich.  Lisa has an unrivalled knowledge of Candidates and Clients within Norwich and the surrounding areas and is known for her outstanding service levels, her honest approach and her ability to solve Client problems.  Lisa has worked with Derek in various businesses covering a 15 year time span.  When not working Lisa loves spending time with her grandchildren and organising her upcoming wedding

Ursula Gallant

Ursula has spent most of her working life in some form of customer services and is responsible for the recruitment of all Workers in the Norwich office.  Ursula has worked with Derek & Lisa previously, so has a proven track record of being a successful Recruiter and is a valuable addition to the team. When not adding to our wonderful team of Carers, Support Workers and Nurses, Ursula is a Nanny to three beautiful grandchildren, has 13 tattoos, is an accomplished pool player and former Norfolk champion and likes to have a glass of gin & prosecco together! 

Lorraine Prangnell

Lorraine has over 20 years’ experience of working in the Huntingdon care sector.  Lorraine is a former registered manager who brings a wealth of healthcare recruitment experience to the team.  Lorraine, Derek, Lisa, Jodie and Gemma have all worked together previously, so is confident that she can develop a very successful branch.  When not recruiting, Lorraine likes to spend time in the sun with a nice cold drink in her hands and is a doting grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren.

Gemma is a highly professional, organised and skilled Recruiter, specialising in candidate resourcing and compliance.  Gemma has worked alongside Emma in developing highly profitable, large healthcare recruitment offices and is a highly valuable asset to the team.  Outside of recruitment, Gemma loves to go the gym, keep fit and go skiing with family and friends. Gemma is working from 2.30pm – 11.00pm, which gives us the option to interview candidates outside of normal working hours
